My areas of professional expertise include health psychology, mind-body medicine, positive psychology, living well with Parkinson’s disease and a wide range of other medical conditions. I completed my postdoctoral training at the College of Executive Coaching as a Certified Professional Coach. I received my Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology and am a licensed psychologist in Massachusetts. For the past 15 years, I have been Director of Psychology and Neuropsychology Services and a practicing Health Psychologist at the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital – Cape Cod. As consultant and team member of the hospital's Parkinson's Center for Comprehensive Care, I created and led the Parkinson's Positive Psychology Programs - group education and support for PD folks and their families. Registered as a Healthcare Professional with the National Parkinson's Foundation, I completed NPF's comprehensive "Allied Team Training for Parkinson." I have been a member of the Adjunct Medical Staff at the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital - Cape Cod, the American Psychological Association, the International Coaching Federation and the Advisory Board of the Parkinson’s Support Network of Cape Cod.
Raised summers along the shallows of Vineyard Sound in Cape Cod, I spent my youth working my way up from sunfish to sloop to 108 ft. topsail schooner. I have long had a passion for exploring the natural world. In my younger days, I spent eight months exploring and hiking through Europe and the Mediterranean; a year working and traveling around the entire United States, and several seasons crewing aboard tall ships up and down the eastern seaboard. My only greater love is my girls – precious wife and two daughters. I am dedicated to creating a better, healthier world for all – those close to home and around the globe.
